Of course you post on your own credit union’s social media accounts, but have you considered posting to the social media accounts of others? A local Chamber of Commerce, your credit union sponsor company or SEGs, or a community based page? People appreciate you posting on a page they manage, and it gives you a whole new audience!
Ask! Original research is a great way to engage members on social media. Ask questions, such as how old were you when you bought your first home or what’s one thing you would change about the credit union. Ask about money messages your members received from their parents or New Year’s resolutions and financial goals.
Share results with members a week later. It’s content no one else in the world will have because it’s personal to your members.
Looking for unique marketing ideas? Look no further than your own mind. Human beings know so much more than they realize and have access to lots and lots of stored information. Instead of working hard to come up with a new idea, give yourself some quiet time in a relaxed environment. Close your eyes to visualize the successful outcome for the campaign you’re working on. Often, your mind will take over at this point and feed you unbelievably creative ideas.
